In autumn 2024, six new climbing routes were opened for you on the north side of the Ballunspitze (2,671 m) in the Silvretta group between the Tyrol and Vorarlberg. They invite you to alpine adventures in the Galtür region and promise panoramic views and outstanding rock quality.
The mountain panorama is hard to beat and the rock quality in this area of the Ballunspitze is outstanding. Compact crystalline rock is reminiscent in places of the legendary granite climbs on the Swiss Grimsel Pass. Ideal climbing conditions prevail on the north side of the Ballunspitze, especially on warm, sunny days. In midsummer, the sun only reaches this part of the wall in the late afternoon.
Seven routes with a total of 580 meters of climbing in compact rock are waiting to be conquered by you. The majority of the routes are equipped with plaisir protection.

„Hardi Gatti“ 5a
If you are looking for even more of a challenge, the routes “Captain Ballun” and “Grosse Verschneidung” await you in the left-hand section of the wall. Here you need to master the indicated difficulty level up to 6a+, as the distances between bolts are greater, especially in the easier lengths (2nd pitch), and short sections can be wet depending on the weather.
